KHOR Women’s Day Celebration and Formation of Qabailee Khor

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Women’s day is acknowledgment of Russian women struggle for peace and bread in 1900 after devastating world wars. Today on 7th March, KHOR formed a tribal women network for voiceless “Qabailee Khor” (tribal sister), it is headed by the tribal women from different agencies and frontier regions. In solidarity with Russian women, Qabailee Khor is striving for peace and bread in its conflict ridden areas. FATA, the most impoverished region and its unheard women, shackled in the tribal Riwaj pledged to strive for the rights of her voiceless sisters living in the border areas. It is a network headed by Nausheen Jamal, it is supported by the KHOR and women from all over Pakistan and overseas. The membership is open to all tribal women and also to honorary members from other parts of Pakistan.
