Who are we


KHOR is an abbreviation of “Khwendo Himat O Ranra” (Sisters’ empowerment and awareness). KHOR is also a Pashto word which means “Sister” and has been selected for the organization to represent “Pashtun Sisterhood”. A feminist organization, which aims at Pashtun women empowerment, leadership and revival of  cultural values that strengthen her. “KHOR” is not only an organization but also a Pashtun feminist movement, aiming at educating Pashtun women about their valued existence, an academy that provides her opportunities to become an independent empowered women. KHOR as a movement pledges to engage the Pashtun women from all over the world. Hence, it will also  engage Pashtun women disapora through “Musafara Khor” chapters in all the related areas.

Vision of KHOR:

An empowered, enlightened & leader Pashtun woman who is using her skills to make her life as well as others’ lives empowered, enlightened and peaceful in Pashtun areas.

Mission of KHOR:

To empower Pashtun women by creating space and opportunities for Pashtun women through developing and strengthening a movement, which will be passed on to all future generations to make Pashtun women as empowered, enlightened & independent citizens.

Objectives of KHOR:

☞ To empower Pashtun women by creating a space and opportunities for them by developing and strengthening a sisterhood movement, which will be passed on to all future generations to make Pashtun women as empowered, enlightened & independent citizens.

☞ To revive & promote Pashtun women’s folk culture, folk sports, folk recipes, folk literature which has been used within four walls so far.

☞ To develop Pashtun Women Leaders in all fields like politics, education, health & other development areas.
